Data controller
Acton Brothers Ltd (company number 14875390), 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF, United Kingdom, is the controller for the processing described below. Contact: jcgm@actonbrotherslondon.com.
Data collected
The site collects only the data you voluntarily submit through the contact form:
- Full name
- Company
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Nature of your request and the content of your message
The host also records technical connection logs, for security purposes and for the proper operation of the service.
Purpose and legal basis
This data is used solely to handle your request, to contact you and, where relevant, to prepare a proposal. Processing is based on pre-contractual steps taken at your request, and on the publisher’s legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Your data is never sold, rented, or used for unsolicited marketing.
Recipients and processors
Requests are handled by the group’s management. Site hosting and form reception are provided by Netlify, Inc., established in the United States, acting as a processor. This transfer outside the European Union is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
If you have accepted measurement cookies, Google Ireland Limited also acts as a processor, for the measurement of our ads only. The data you submit through the form is never passed to it.
Retention period
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for three years from the last contact. Client data is kept for the duration of the contractual relationship, then for the statutory retention periods applicable to accounting and commercial records.
Cookies and consent
By default this site sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser storage. There is a single exception: the measurement of our Google Ads campaigns, which requires your express consent.
If you accept, a Google Ads tag is loaded and sets measurement cookies. It tells us how many enquiries come from our ads and what each of those enquiries costs us. It is not used to identify you, nor to follow you across other sites for commercial purposes. The tool is supplied by Google Ireland Limited, established in Dublin, acting as a processor for this processing only. Data may be transferred to the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
If you decline, no tag is loaded and no measurement cookie is set: the site works exactly the same. Your choice, either way, is the only thing the site records, for six months, so that we do not ask you again on every visit. That marker identifies no one. To change your choice, clear your browser’s site data for actonbrotherslondon.com and the banner will reappear.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, write to jcgm@actonbrotherslondon.com setting out your request.
You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority: the CNIL in France, the Commission de contrôle des informations nominatives in Monaco, the Data Protection Authority in Belgium or the Information Commissioner’s Office in the United Kingdom.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to received enquiries is protected by a personal account with two-factor authentication.
